Week 3

On Monday I got rid of the Bledsoe brace. It was driving me nuts. So I wore the immobilizer for 10 days, my hinged brace for another week.

My knee feels good. I spent the week working hard at m home PT exercises. I was really pushing to get my mobility up. By Friday’s PT session, I felt I had made good progress, and I was right. My passive (unassisted) mobility was “120 Degrees plus” according to Mike Blessing. With assistance, we hit 130 degrees. There it was. 22 days post op, and I had hit the 6 week mobility goal. Mike reminded me to keep doing my work at home. I could easily lose the mobility I had found. Mike gave me an ankle wait (2 ˝ pounds). I am to use it with all of my home exercises. I was happy, and tired.
