Sunday, 72 Hours After Surgery

Went to church today. Everybody, including me, did not expect to see me there. I really appreciated the prayers from everybody that was praying. My congregation is small, but there are so many caring, loving people. I am blessed to have them in my life and blessed to be a part of Cornwall United Methodist Church.

I go to our Prayer and Praise Worship Service, a contemporary service. I normally play guitar on the praise team (the band that leads the singing and plays the music). Today I got to watch, sing and enjoy (although I really missed playing with the group).

My leg was throbbing by the time we left. I had not been up and about so much.

I decide to put my memories in writing. That was 5 hours ago. It seems funnier now then it did when I was living it.

Daughter’s birthday party tonight. On knee a lot. Get sore, but don’t take any analgesics since afternoon. Given that, I feel ok.

I do my exercises before bed. Hurts, but I feel like I have good mobility. Rehab starts tomorrow.

Watch Die Hard 1 and 2 with Bruce Willis and go to bed.
